Ksenia Solo, Mary Lynn Rajskub and Maria Bello are going In Search of Fellini.
The actresses have been cast in the coming-of-age drama, which will be directed by Taron Lexton, with a script from Nancy Cartwright and Peter Kjenaas.
In Search of Fellini follows one girl’s journey searching for the legendary Italian filmmaker, Frederico Fellini.
Cartwright, who is best known as the voice of Bart Simpson in the long-running TV show The Simpsons, will also executive produce the film under her Spotted Cow Studio production banner. Peter Kjenaas, Taron Lexton, Nathan Lorch, Milena Ferreira and Michael Doven are also producing.
Principal photography for In Search of Fellini has already begun, with plans to shoot in Cleveland, Ohio, as well as Venice, Verona, Milan and Rome.
“This is a 30-year-labor-of-love,” says Cartwright. “Finding and working with Taron, Mary Lynn, Maria, Ksenia and this particular crew has made this a real dream-come-true.”
Solo was previously in Black Swan and has a reoccurring role on the TV series Orphan Black, as well as a series regular position on AMC’s TURN. She just wrapped filming on the psychological thriller Pet. She’s repped by Armada Partners and SMGSB.
